"Why have a blog when you have so many outlets?" I have tossed and turned over this question many time in the weeks since I've opened this account.
Not really.
Each of the social media outlets have their own specific applications for me. My website is the home to all things musical. My bio, gear, history, sights/sounds/video, gigs past/present/future, can all be found here. My Facebook page is kinda a catchall. Music, last-minute gig info, humorous asides and questions can be found here. It makes a great place for feedback. SoundCloud is a great place to post my works-in-progress and maybe get a little feedback. Twitter, I find, is a great outlet for my more stream-of-conscious thoughts. MySpace is, well... MySpace.
Of course there's some overlap between all of the sites but that's basically how I break everything down.
So, why have a blog?
This blog will be a home to all of my artistic ideas and opinions. I listen, I eat, I read and I look. I play, I cook, I write and I draw (with varying degrees of success). This will be a home to all of these things and more.
I hope you'll visit often and offer some feedback. Looking forward to seeing how this all turns out...
